I am a postdoc at
UCL Psychology Department with a background in
philosophy and cognitive science. The focus of
my work is on simple heuristics humans adopt to negotiate cognitively demanding tasks. I am currently working on heuristics underlying epistemic judgments in
information search. More generally I am interested in
modular (especially perceptual) strategies to cope with complex decision problems and in the role played by the perceptual environment as “cognitive scaffolding”.
